This is a mattress rail and bunkie board / wood support set. Rails bolt onto the head and footboard and hold them together as a unit. The wooden bed slats lay across the rails to support a mattress. These bed slats eliminated the need for link spring or box spring. The bed rails are for full size beds that already include head and foot boards. They're made of high tensile steel and have double rivets that hold the end plates on. That's important because if these are not strong the head and foot boards will move back and forth. This bunkie board and rail set fits a regular sized full bed. Please measure your bed to assure that this bunkie board and rail set will fit your bed. The dimensions are 54 1/8" (give or take 1/16") wide x 75" long. Please measure your bed to ensure that these slats will fit before you purchase. The slats are 2 3/4" wide and are 2 3/4" apart from one another.
